What a sweet man Don was. What a loving, cuddly, warm, friendly, and insightful man. Not always, as I recall. When we first met over 45 years ago (I was little) I was scared of Don. He set the bar high, he seemed (or was?) inflexible. But somewhere an awakening took place. Perhaps it is me who failed to appreciate the nuance of his insight, but I think he changed in ways that are rare; his understanding, his love, and his simple, easy, way of being present came to the fore, for his kids, for Shirley, in his own life, and in the life of me and my family. It brings tears to my eyes to think of his warm embrace, his sincere welcome, and his real insight into what matters in life. What a profound loss, for all of us. What a gift to be considered his friend. Mark Joselyn
